Silhouette
In dark, only light I saw
In pavements, only shadows were clear
The lit candles defined you
You might smiled, you might scowled
In a stray blurr, I realised
You had no face, no identity
Uncanny shadow was what covered me
Eerie silence surrounded me
I thought I’d be able to figure you out
I thought I’d be able to ask you things
But then I drifted off in a swift
And daylight brought me back to actuality
I’ve seen you many times
In my dreams every night
You were always right there
In the corner you stand
But then again as I’ve said
Silhouette—the only visible I saw
All of these were brand new
Even you were anew
Untypical, unclassified
I don’t know if it was true
Just let me know if it was
